When an automobile manufac-
turer produces a car so obviously
ahead of the times as the Futur*
amic Oldsmobile, it’s only natural
that demand for that product
should reach record-breaking pro-
portions. Add to this today’s
pent-up need for automotive
transportation—plus continuing
shortages of steel and other criti-
cal materials—and you’ll see why
we, as Oldsmobile dealers, have a
real problem on our hands. We
value the good will of all our cus-
tomers. We would like to provide
all our customers with new
Oldsmobile cars. But unfortu-
nately, this can't be done overnight.
That is why we are taking this
opportunity to reaffirm publicly
our POLICIES ON NEW CAR DE-
LIVERIES, as listed in the box at
right. We believe that under
present circumstances these
policies constitute a sound basis
for "fair play” to everybody.
And we hope that, on this basis,
we may continue to serve you
and merit your patronage for
Oldsmobile and for ourselves.
